My interest in geoscience already began during high school. After graduating, I spent a year abroad in Nicaragua, where I climbed several volcanoes. Afterwards, I studied geosciences in Germany (BSc: University of Potsdam; MSc: TU Bergakademie Freiberg, including one semester at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile). I then pursued a PhD in Experimental Petrology at the University of Münster, investigating the genesis of lunar basalts and the cooling of the lunar magma ocean. Here at ISTO, I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the METGAS project, investigating base metal mobilization in hydrothermal magmatic fluids. My work includes metal partitioning experiments and in-situ X-ray fluorescence analyses.
