Thesis subject: In-situ study of the PVT properties of H₂O–NaCl–KCl–CaCl₂–FeCl₂ fluids and their effects on the solubility of quartz during magmatic degassing
Supervised by Giada Iacono-Marziano and Marion Louvel

I investigate how complex magmatic fluids behave during phase separation and degassing at high pressures and temperatures. My work focuses on determining the pressure–volume–temperature (PVT) properties and densities of multicomponent chloride systems using in-situ X-ray absorption experiments and Raman spectroscopy. By linking these physical properties to quartz solubility, my research, which is part of the ANR MagBrines project, aims to better understand the role of magmatic brines in element transport, mineral formation, and fluid evolution in volcanic and hydrothermal environments.
