A group of PhD candidates, post-doctorants and ISTO staff visited Vienna from May 3rd to 8th 2026 to participate in the European Geoscience Union (EGU) General Assembly, the largest Earth Science metting in Europe (> 22 000 participants!).
We were lucky to attend presentations by international colleagues in various fields, spanning from applied volcanology, geophysics, ore processes or planetary sciences. We also presented our own results,as posters or oral presentations.
Overall a very fruitful meeting, some of us are already planning to go back next year!
