Delivery of the MEB-FIB

It is a Schottky gun electron microscope coupled with a focused ion column and with a laser ablation system and equipped with a coupled EDS / EBSD system. The imaging is carried out at high resolution (nanometric) but the major originality lies in the coupling with an ion column (FIB: “focused ion beam”), which allows to perform ablations of matter at the nanometric scale, and with a laser for sub-micrometric ablations. This device allows us to perform imaging in 3 dimensions and to prepare localized slides for transmission microscopy.
