The electron microprobe is part of the equipment of the joint University/CNRS/BRGM platform. The history of microanalysis in the field of geology in Orléans began in 1959 with the CAMECA MS85 microprobe, the fourth in history, and it remained in service until 1970.

  • Vertical spectrometer equipped with 2 standard crystals : TAP,PC0 ;

  • Vertical spectrometer equipped with 2 high sensitivity crystals: LPET, LTAP;
  • Vertical spectrometer equipped with 2 high sensitivity crystals: LPET, LLiF

 

Secondary and backscattered electron detectors;

Optical microscope with motorized zoom for polarized, reflected and transmitted light.

Automated pumping system including a turbo molecular pump.
